I had a chat with success
I asked why it never came to me
I asked why it left me in a state of distress
I asked if it was all about luck
I asked if it was all fate
I asked why only a few possessed you
I asked if only few were destined to get you
Success replied, I see no differences
To me everyone is the same
What matters is how you play the game
What’s important is how good is your aim
Success said, you need a lot of qualities to get me
Chief among them are your attitude and personality
Success said, you need to have conviction to reach me
You need to have faith in your abilities and skills
Success said, you need to climb a lot of stairs to reach me
So make your patience and will as strong as they can be
Success said, reaching me is a tight rope walk
So you need to dare and act against the clock
Success said, I reward nothing less than the best
So you need to commit yourselves to excellence
Success said, you can reach me only when you look past failures
So you need to persevere and move beyond just being an amateur
Success said, you must learn a lot in order to know me
So you should have your vision, mission and goals laid out
Success said, I do not reward the feeble nor the timid
So you must become bold, strong and intrepid
Success said, I do not go to everyone who wishes to have me
You must not merely wish but plan, work, hope and achieve
Success said, anyone can have me who is willing to pay the price
Pay heed and listen to me, this is my word of advice
